∞ Nuvo Group was selected as the preferred contractor for the $4.5 million Electrical, Technology and Data works required for an expansion to the existing hospital infrastructure including the In-Patient Unit (IPU). Works included the demolition and/or alteration of existing services; manufacture, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and subsequent maintenance, and ITP’s for all operating systems. The IPU includes new patient wards with 60 beds, seven consulting suites, discharge and admissions lounge, pharmacy shell, new lift and stair cores and a new hospital main entrance.
The project delivered an extension to the existing Inpatient Unit comprising an additional 60 beds and two-bed wards, with eight consulting suites, a new main entrance and pharmacy/gift shop. An expanded imaging department and new kitchen, supply and storage areas, maintenance and workshop areas, and an additional 240 plus car parks were also delivered.
With works occurring within a fully operational hospital, Nuvo Group implemented successful strategies to ensure minimal impact on hospital activities. Thorough planning and communication was undertaken to ensure minimal disruption to hospital staff and patients, while team worked extremely hard to reach completion within the timeframe and budget.
